• Make light of a tough situation.
  
  In my situation of creating the example above, I wanted to point out the obvious flaws of our Canberra train system while at the same time, trying to prompt an emotion of sadness (hence the gothic, slow paced singing) because we have a lacking in that area.

But let me make one thing clear: this is from the perspective of a local who has been to Floriade more times than they can count—not a wide-eyed first-timer. And honestly, I think we could do a bit better.
